                 Departmental    Activities---

·        Exhibition  of  Medicinal  plants  arranged.

·        Wall   paper  BIOS    is  started. 

·        Nature club is formed. Students worked very positively and they have

             Created  a    Hanging Garden ,planted ornamental and Medicinal plants.  

       ·        Excursion to Achara ,Malvan, Amboli,Fonda,Sindhudurg was arranged on 

             24-1-  2015 to 27-1-2015.

       ·        Nature  club’s Study tour was arranged to Bijapur and Almatti garden.

       ·        Sanstha Mata Sushila Devi Salunkhe  Biology Talent Search Examination  

             is conducted  as foundation of competitive Examination.

       ·     Short Term course in Applied Botany is Started

   B.Sc.III.March/ April 2014 
2 Peerzade S.S. is awarded by Dr.Shamrao Trimbakrao Tilak Paritoshak  for securing 
   highest number of marks in Botany in March /April 2014
3 Peerzade S.S.is awarded Smt Padmaja Vinayak Chouble Prize for securing highest 
   number of marks in women candidates at B.Sc.III March /April 2014
4 Peerzade S.S. is awarded Balwant Gangadhar Deshpande Prize  for securing highest 
   number of marks in the subject of Botany at B.Sc.III Examination March/April 2014
5 Peerzade S.S. is awarded Late Shri Jagannathrao Nomulwar Prize for securing first 
   rank in Biology group Examination held in March/April 2014.

      Future   plans   of the  Department ----            

·        To  opt  for   minor & major   research projects.

·        To   arrange    National  Conference  /seminars. 

·        Agriculture  based  Botanical  research. 

·        Survey   of  Endangered  plants   of this  area.  

·        To     start  short  term  duration  courses   as   in  seed   pathology ,

·        Horticulture ,biotechnology ,plant  protection ,   microbiology.                    

·        To conserve Medicinal plants in college campus.
